ISRAEL vs. PALESTINA

tv host: Hello everybody !!!! :):):)
In Middle East there are problems, and one of the most importants is the war between Israel and Paslestina. Today, here, tere is an israelian who will explain us what happen and how she defend her religion and her land. Hello Sarah!
Sarah: Hello Tim! Yes, it's true, we have a lot of problems but I think we are right. All our lives we had been discriminated and mistreated. Hitler and nazis began a genocide and the survivors had no place to go. I don't think that Israel has the militar power to kick the palestinans out of our land.
Tim: Ok. This is an israelians opinion about this issue. Now, we'll gonna hear a palestinian one!
Shiva: Hello Tim! Yes that's true, but we have the same problems that they have. Genocide is alsi familiar for us. Anyway, I undestand that you are angry that we are in Jerusalem too. But for both it represents our country, our promissed land and religious influences both sides. Both see Jerusalem like a holy place and everyone wants to defend what's for them . But I am sure that there us an alternative to resche the conflict.
Sarah: I agree with you that there's an alternative. But I think that Jewish people don't have any other place to go. We went to Europe and they killed all that they could. And because of that we decided to return to our promissed land and now palestinians wants to kich us out. And they have a lot of islamic countries to go, whereas we can't leave elsewhere.
Shiva: Yes that's true, but we were raced. We were born here it's also ower home!
Sarah: I do eather. But you also have to understand us. Yet you believe in the Coran so do we in the Torah. And it says that Yahvé promissed us a land and that was Jerusalem, and it still is.
Shiva: But Mahoma, when he ran away from Mecca he also talked about this our Jerusalem. Mecca is a place where we go for devotion, but Jerusalem is our home, a holy place for us eather.
Sarah: I know what you mean, of course. And you say it now, you have two or more holy places to go and we only have Jerusalem:our place and the one of our ancestores.
Shiva: But being your holy country and our's too. Don't you think it's possbile to live together in peace there? Respecting each other beliefs. In the end, Torah, Coran and Bible talk and predicts about respecting each other.
Sarah: I think that we can't live together in the same place. This isn't the solution for the problem. But I'm sure that we can find a solution but it will be really difficult because we are fighting for our believe, and the religious fights are very difficult to resolve.

Oral Presentation II

So here you've got my second oral presentation and, in fact the only one, because I don't have the other two. I'm sorry !!

Are children affected by violence on tv and computer games??

There are a lot of people that think that the main fault for aggressive children are tv, video games and music. But ist this really true?
It's a fact that in our hisotry many massacres happened like Columbine, Virginia Tech (a recent one) and Erfurt (Germany) and always the main fault was given to videogames, tv and music.

On the one hand, I think that the main fault for being violent is the guy himself who imagines he's kind os a super hero or a super villian, having the right to do such rejecting things. It0s his fault that he lets those bad influence get to him, getting this bad behaviour against anyone. Of course mdia is doing a lot of programmes that definitely are too aggressive and could be a bad influence for children, but its more the fault of our society that

1. Doesn't stop this
2. Allows children watchong these programmes
3. Shows our children that being violent is equal to being cool.

But I also must say (after that paragraph against it) a lot of videogames were accuses of bad influence. even there are some games that are simply aggressive, bloody and worse, there are also a lot of games about fantasy, strategy, fun and more. About tv I must say that, all of these programmes like jackass or MTV's Celebrity Deathmatch are kind of funny but shouldn't be taken seriously. Maybe, kids should watch them together with their parents, to reduce the impact, and that a lot of these shows shouldn'r been shown to young children. They souldn't see how some stupid idiots get drunk or eat some disgusting things that I don't want to mention.

In conclusion we can say that thesee few videogames shouldn't be played by people who have psychologic problems by anyone or either shouldn't be played much by anyone, and that some programmes on tv should be broodcasted at nioght ot just watched in company with parents who can control you as well as these tb programmes shouldn't be taken too seriously!

A friend of mine gave me your e-mail address I'm writig to you to introduce myself. My name is Fiona, i'm 17 year old and I live in Castellò d'Empúries, Spain. I'm really into heavy-metal and rock music, computer games ans aports. I play tennis twice a week and I also play in a tennis team I winter I enjoy skiing.
Castellò d'Empúries is a big village, or nearlly a city, in Catalonia, the north-east coast in Spain. It's a beautiful place: In summer you I can go easily to the beach and swim, while in winter I can go to the mountains and ski. It's just amazing!!
At school I'm studying lots of things now, because i've got my exams in two years. I must work harder noy, but i also have go much more free time that i can use to study or for any other activities.
